Growing up, neon lime green was my favorite color. It was bright, fun and you couldn’t miss it no matter how hard you tried. All that said, I only partook of it in small doses. Via a wallet or laces. Not so much on clothes. Which is why I am really not sure about this reflective coat from Paul Smith.
I don’t know if this piece is trying to make a statement but I don’t believe in what it’s trying to sell. The lime green detail of this coat gives this an instant pop of color. One that you can’t miss. And I am not sure if it’s something that you want to be stuck with. Plus it’s surprisingly expensive for a coat and I don’t see what exactly warrants the price tag. Plus doesn’t it remind you of the vest that people wear on court-ordered community service as they pick up trash on the roads?
