Would You?: Marc Jacobs Contrast Leather Biker Jacket

So we’ve been featuring a bunch of leather jackets lately and perhaps it’s because we are heading towards Fall and leather jackets are one of the reasons why we would welcome the arrival of Fall. But whatever it is, we always have fun talking about leather jackets.

Now speaking of which, we’re not sure if this piece from Marc Jacobs would fit into our wishlist for this season. There is something strange and slightly awkward about the white sleeves on this piece. It takes away from the overall sleekness of the jacket. We get that they want to accentuate the punk-biker feel by playing with contrast and doing this different to evoke a sense of rebelliousness. But we’re not buying it. It feels a little contrived and paying more than US$2000 for contrived is not our idea of a good time. What do you guys think?
