It’s not news that I am a big fan of most everything studded. Pair them with traditional classic pieces and you can almost count on me being there. But I didn’t feel a lot of love emulating from within when I saw this studded pair of oxfords from Gucci.
I get what they are trying to accomplish. Edge up a pair of traditional oxford. Modern cool with timeless leanings. But the gold spikes seem a little out of place. Perhaps they would have been better off with black spikes? It would seem a little less obvious. A little more cohesive and a lot less bling. That’s the thing with gold spikes – they tend to look showy and have that bling appeal. And sometimes that appeal can be a little overwhelming. What do you guys think?
