Would You?: Alexander McQueen Needlepoint Slippers

So perhaps it’s my age or perhaps it’s not part of my sartorial goal to look older than I am but evening slippers never appealed to me. Perhaps it’s because a Hugh-Hefner lifestyle doesn’t appeal to me and perhaps I don’t have the attitude of Lapo Elkann to successfully pull it off; but whatever it is, I don’t even bother trying.

So when I saw this pair from Alexander McQueen, I was a little bit taken aback. Perhaps it’s because I wasn’t ready for the flowery assault. And perhaps it’s because this reminds me of something my grandmother would wear; I wasn’t ready for it. I’ve been staring at this for the past 5 minutes and I am not feeling the love. I appreciate the intricate needlepoint work but that’s about it. What do you guys think?
