The humble backpack has seen a resurgence lately and designers have taken it upon themselves to create ones that stand out. Like this crocodile piece from Santiago Gonzalez.
It’s definitely luxurious and brings a whole new meaning to having a weight on your shoulders. Except this time, it’s a couple of month’s rent. The rich color and texture of the crocodile skin gives this a refined feel; one that is undeniably showy. I am not sure to what utilitarian extent a backpack would serve but personally, paying more than $5000 for one seems like a indulgent stretch. What do you guys think?
