I like whimsical pieces to a certain extent. It could be a tee with a cow sticking its tongue out or a striped sailor top. But I draw the line at pieces that make me look questionable. Like this spotted silk tie from Richard James.
I get the whimsical vibe from this tie. But what I don’t get is the choice of colors. It is bland and child-like to me. There is nothing stylish about this piece and the reason why it’s not categorized under the WTF section is because this could work with the right attitude and I guess, the right kind of costume party.
