KITSUNÉ X Pierre Hardy - Series 6
Kitsune has teamed up with shoemaker du jour, Pierre Hardy, for a collection of footwear. I love collaborations and the creativity and sartorial result that is generated from multiple minds coming together excites me quite a bit.

Which is exactly what this pair of desert boots is doing. The more I look at it, the more I am falling for it. So much so that I immediately bought a pair. The dark, dark grey that almost looks black is perfect for all year round wear while the modern yet classic silhouette of the desert boots can be dressed both up or down.

I am really loving how simple yet terribly appealing this is - the purple laces add a contrast that just hits all the right spots. The white thin sole adds another layer of contrast that only serves to elevate the lust-worthiness of this pair of boots.

I had to get my hands on them, they just have my name written all over them. It also looks like I am not alone, the sizes are flying out of the store! Get this Kitsune X Pierre Hardy Series 6 Desert Boots for US$433 at Tres Bien Shop.
Pierre Hardy 913 Boots
Pierre Hardy 913 Boots side
Boots are ubiquitous during Fall and with good reason - they are hardy, go with most everything and give an appreciated edge for the colder, darker months of the year. My boots serve me well all year around and that said, this beauty will too.

The first thing that strikes you is the contrast leather trim. Done so tastefully and perfectly, the leather trim elevates this pair of boots to another drool-worthy level. I really dig the clean lines and the effect - given how this could go quite awry in the wrong hands.

But Pierre Hardy is one of the best in the shoe business and it's no surprise he knows just how to capture the essence of this great pair. The details deserve to be shown so tuck your pants or jeans into these boots and have them do all the talking.

Pierre Hardy Patent Leather Chukka Pierre Hardy Patent Leather Chukka topI've not given much thought to chukkas but these have been growing on me for a while now and I think if I were to get a pair, this would be it.

I am digging the black and white contrast against the sleek patent leather - so universal and classic. This pair will look good with either jeans or pants. They would especially look great with chinos and a crisp shirt.

I would wear them with tailored shorts too because they are like sneakers; just dressier. They give off a cool vibe that would compliment a casual outfit or a semi-casual one like butter to bread.

Gucci Buckle BootsPierre Hardy boots

Designers get inspired by other designers all the time; one the left is Gucci's new Buckle Boots for Fall and one the right is Pierre Hardy's leather buckle boots. I tried the Pierre Hardy pair (the black version) at the Club 21 store on Friday and the first thing that hit me was how much trouble it took to unbuckle the buckles, loosen the laces and slip your feet in. If it weren't for my great SA, I would have taken even longer to put them on. As much as I like the look, I would have to say that I wouldn't wear these to a house party that required me to take off my shoes, neither will I wear this out shoe shopping because it just takes a bunch of energy taking this off and putting this back on.

That being said, I still think these boots rock, although I am not too keen on how similar they look but a cool, rocking design is a cool, rocking design. The Gucci pair has a higher shaft and a calf leather sheen that the Pierre Hardy pair lacks, the Pierre Hardy pair has the muteness and feel of a sneaker-cum-boot. Both pairs will look amazing with jeans and a formal shirt.
