Paul Smith Gingham Wrinkled Scarf
I've been doing the whole wrinkled shirt thing for a couple of months now. It stemmed from a combination of wanting to be less proper and impatience when it comes to waiting for my dry-cleaner to come pick up my shirts for pressing. It's been working pretty well and I have been thinking about the next step in the wrinkled movement.

Scarfs will be a good alternative to shirts. I won't wear them together - it just looks overdone which is the exact opposite of the desired vibe. This gingham wrinkled piece will add the right dose of color and detail - a contrast to the bleary winter now.

The gingham color combination of teal, lavender and white looks fresh and calm - no clashing loud color combinations to speak of. Instead it falls into an easy, relaxed feel that syncs perfectly with its wrinkled quality and frayed hem.

I love black and grey and navy. Darker colors are my first choice when it comes to clothes and accessories but I still desire color now and then. So I especially dig it when accessories have dark undertones and a splash of standout color that contrast and yet sync in harmony.

The black and grey stripes on this 100% cashmere scarf is given a style boost by the hit of lime green that trims the edges of this piece. I am fan of lime green but it's not everyday that you find pieces with lime green that don't look costume-y.

This is far from costume-like. In fact, it can be used to instantly add another visual dimension to an everyday outfit. The fringed detail provides a layered feel that looks great dressed-up or down. The 100% cashmere will ensure a soft, luxurious feel in the colder months of the year.

Paul Smith Contrast Stitch Scarf
I am still not over plaids and checks; and I don't seem to be alone. Designers have been putting out such pieces seasons after seasons. There is an intrinsic warmth to such patterns and a cool nonchalence that I just can't get enough of.

This lightweight check piece will add an instant dash of contrast to an everyday outfit. The black and white checks coupled with the greenish-blue contrast stitch lends a strong statement that looks great against a solid colored tee. For a playful look, pair this with a crisp white shirt and sharp shoes.

Paul Smith Khaki Washbag

A washbag or a dopp kit is a must-have for me. I travel often and I need something to hold my grooming products and having a washbag just makes things so much easier - just grab and throw into your luggage/weekender and leave for the airport.

I like this khaki one by Paul Smith. On first look, I though this had extra pockets and straps which will come in handy. The gritty graffiti detail gives this a bit of an edge. But on closer look, the graffiti and straps and pockets are actually imprinted onto the bag. The pop-up effect is fun and I like how this just doesn't look like a regular washbag.

I like waistcoats and vests - I find them charming and I love the dress factor associated with them. Versatility is another reason why I like them - they can be used to dress up a tee or a shirt without blazer. Wear them on formal or informal occasions - either way, they make for wonderful wardrobe pick-me-ups.

This double breasted piece caught my eye with its many buttons and of course, the double breasted style. I like how the black buttons contrast against the light grey of this waistcoat; drawing your eyes instantly to the detail.

The multiple pockets allow you to hold some cash or a credit card and slip in a pocket square. I won't go stuffing them but they are there for a reason.

Again, I like this piece for its ability to be used on both formal and casual occasions. With a tee and denim or a suit. It's got plenty of personality and if you need further proof - look at the white back; it's an instant contrast that shows it all off.

Paul Smith Graded Check Shirt

I've been thinking about adding more casual wear to my wardrobe; mixing things up a notch. Shirts that will go great with jeans, crumpled, tucked in or out for a nonchalant vibe. This shirt fulfills that.

The graded checked design is arresting yet not too busy. It could go both ways - casual, relaxed and dressed up. The graded detail also adds a contrast that catches attention in a good way.

Gradient checks can go wrong if not done right but I am enjoying the clean lines on this and this will go great with dark denim.
