I am on a new mission; a new mission to find casual shirts that I can easily throw on during chilled out weekends. Tees are great, of course but sometimes I like look of a crumpled shirt and the disheveled vibe that it brings with it.
This great piece from Just A Cheap Shirt is a worthy weekend staple. Aside from the affordable price tag and the brand name that suggests so, this shirt is full of details that everyone will appreciate.
The versatile light green plaid will go perfect with denim or shorts, both on weekdays and weekends. I am loving the lone snap detail on the button placket - an unexpected sliver of uniqueness. The contrast stitch on the chest pocket makes for a …

Shirts make up the most of my wardrobe. So much so that I realized that I needed to work on acquiring more tee shirts. Tee shirts are cool, light, convenient and easy to wear but a shirt can say so much more and go so much further.
Take this piece from Lanvin for example, I love the light grey shade of this 100% silk shirt. Soft, decadent and an instant classic, this is a shirt that you will wear for years and years to come.
I love how despite its simple intentions, there isn’t a scrimping of details. The visible exposed trims on the collar and the sleeves give this modern, subtle stamp. Something that I could always do with more - despite my wardrobe of shirts!…

All through junior and high school, I carried a backpack. I had Outdoor ones, Deuter ones, Nike ones and Eastpack ones. I had a new one every year and I tried very hard to make sure that the new one was cooler than the one I had the previous year.
Now I never thought that a company like Eastpack would have a designer tie-up and Raf Simons, no less. I very much appreciate Raf Simons’ aesthetic and vision and I think it’s a wonderful thing they are doing. Now, if only this designer collection was around when I was still in high school!
I like this special edition messenger, especially the grey version. This simple yet detail-filled messenger has a …

I am a sucker for clean skin and I believe very strongly in the mantra that you should only go to bed with a clean face. That said, washing your face too often will strip the skin of essential moisture and oils leading to even greater problems. I workout in the mornings and since I go to bed with a clean face, it doesn’t make sense for me to wash my face before the gym and then wash it again when I shower after the gym.
As such, I turn to cleansing pads and my favorite pads of the moment is the Stridex Essential Care pads. I like how they clean without over-drying, treat existing zits and help prevent new …

I just bought another round of DERMAdoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’ Intensive Medicated Blackhead Treatment (1oz/30ml) (US$42 US$33.60). This serum helps me keep those pesky blackheads at bay while controlling shine and encouraging daily micro exfoliation. My skin is clearer with lesser blackheads.
Another favorite of mine is the MALIN+GOETZ Detox Face Mask (4oz/118ml) (US$38 US$30.40). This unique mask with its oxygenation technology will help remove dirt, grime, oil and impurities effectively. Leaving me with hydrated, cleaner and healthier skin. My skin feel lighter after every use.
My eye cream of the moment is Nuxe Contour des Yeux …

I remember my first pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans was of the Flynt variety. I really liked and I still do the inverted 7s on the back pockets. I thought they looked fresh and different with just the right amount of detail without looking ostentatious.
I didn’t think much about them until I saw this pair the other day. I am really liking this shade of blue and the relaxed vibe from this pair of jeans. It’s cut a little looser so it’s a fresh change from all the skinny and tapered jeans.
The straight leg offers versatility and you can easily wear this in the day and then head to a house party with this at night. …

Zits and acne can leave you with brown spots known as post inflammatory marks. It’s tough that you have to deal with inconvenient zits and to have to deal with the marks that they leave behind just takes it to a whole other level.
Glycolic Acid belong to the Alpha Hydroxy Acids family and they help improve your complexion by means of daily micro exfoliation; shedding and removing dead skin cells paving the way for smoother, brighter skin.
I was also told by my dermatologist that I have hair follicles that have somehow become clogged hence they appear as tiny, red bumps on the lower end of my cheeks. What will help is AHAs chemical peels and daily usage of glycolic acids.
And …

I have always turned to Converse for most of my sneakers needs. I find them simple, classic and yet so on trend time and time again. And I wear them with everything from jeans, to shorts to tailored pants. That said, they do come in many different color variations; most of them too loud or garish for my tastes.
Hence, it’s time to look outside my comfort zone a little to see what is out there. I found this while randomly surfing and I have to say that this pair of sneakers are growing on me.
Firstly, the navy shade reminds me of Summer, yachts and the sea. While normally I would like a contrast lace just for detail sake, …

When I was younger, I’ve always envied models. You know those fortunate ones with razor cheekbones and defined faces. I wanted to be one of them. So I would try to suck in my cheeks to see how model-esque I would look. I didn’t get far at all, obviously, but I remember thinking about how cool it would be if I had those facial definitions and enviable bone structure.
So when I lost my baby fat and started having some new definition to my face, I was pretty thrilled. And then I soon realized just how much everyone else wanted fuller faces because a fuller face gives a more youthful, younger appearance and as we age, we lose the tenacity …

I love statement shirts. Ones that would hold their own and attract attention from those in the know and from those who feel like they need to always need to say something. Sure sometimes it gets annoying but it’s great to know that a mere clothing article can command such buzz.
I am digging this wonderful piece from Maison Margiela. The front bib looks classic and edgy at the same time, thanks to the laser-cut detailing of the fabric panels that give a 3D look that will surely stand out in a sea of white shirts.
This would be a forward piece to wear to a formal black tie event where you display subtly the hit of detail on this shirt. I am loving the fresh …

I have extremely oily skin and as such, I fortunately and unfortunately (because oily skin brings along its own basket of issues – blackheads, enlarged pores, shiny T-zones, outbreaks) will have wrinkles at a later stage of life compared with someone with drier skin.
That said, I still deal with fine lines occasionally and I am always open to new products. So I gave this serum a whirl a couple of weeks ago with the full intention to see how this would work on unwrinkled skin.
After the first few applications, my skin looked smoother and felt softer. This rich serum definitely works to introduce moisture which is great for skin like mine that is constantly exposed to harsh air-conditioning. In 2 weeks, the tiny lines I had were close to disappearing and my …
