I like waistcoats and vests – I find them charming and I love the dress factor associated with them. Versatility is another reason why I like them – they can be used to dress up a tee or a shirt without blazer. Wear them on formal or informal occasions – either way, they make for wonderful wardrobe pick-me-ups.
This double breasted piece caught my eye with its many buttons and of course, the double breasted style. I like how the black buttons contrast against the light grey of this waistcoat; drawing your eyes instantly to the detail.
The multiple pockets allow you to hold some cash or a credit card and slip in a pocket square. I won’t go stuffing them but

In conjunction with Louis Vuitton’s Asnieres division (the made-to-order luggage arm of LV), the French fashion giant has invited (among others) iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz and art world bad boy Damien Hirst to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
Inspired by her job naturally, Annie Leibovitz has op-ed for a canvas backpack with microfiber compartments for her photography equipments. Damien Hirst has requested for a black trunk lined with blue microfiber and multiple slim drawers, designed to hold surgical instruments. Holding surgical instruments is not something you hear of everyday – it’s intriguing and bad-ass.
Marc Jacobs has asked for a travel trunk for his 2 bull terriers. With a wide door, large vents and space for a photo of him and some clothing article

I picked this up a couple of years ago when I forgot facial wash on one of my back-and-forth trips to the US. I have been a fan ever since.
I love the feel of this gentle scrub and the fresh cucumber scent. With 2% Salicylic Acid and AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), it helped keeps zits at bay while gently exfoliating your skin. My skin looked fresher and smoother after every wash. I also like how it doesn’t overdry skin.
The stress control factor is a good marketing ploy and it works – with clear skin, I have one less thing to stress over.
Get this Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control, Power-Clear Scrub 4.2 fl oz (125 ml) for US$7.99 …

I am on the hunt for tuxedo jackets and more formal wear in general – no so much shirts because I don’t need new ones but more outerwear that I can use both ways – for important nights and to dress up an otherwise casual outfit.
I am really drawn to this well cut piece. It is simple, clean and yet so sleek – it’s just what I want. I like the satin lapels and how they are slim – it gives a modern siluhette which is what I am looking for.
This two button blazer is definitely on my list and would be perfect for a night event or a date. But I would probably use this more to

With the recent ruling of
Ebay VS LVMH – Ebay being ordered to pay $80.000 Euros for the unauthorized use of Givenchy, Kenzo, Christian Dior and Guerlain’s perfumes brand name in the key word search on the popular site. It’s not the first time Ebay has been fined; just this June, it was also ordered to pay LVMH 38 million Euros for allowing the sale of fake LVMH goods on its site.
I don’t know how Ebay is going to completely put a clamp on the alarming number of counterfeit goods on its site. If there is demand, there will be supply and there will also be individuals clamoring to buy passable counterfeit merchandise. It would be a logistic challenge to say the least for Ebay

I first discovered Kiss My Face products years ago at Trader Joe’s and I quickly became hooked on their Peaches and Creme range. These products smell like the real deal and they are so affordable. They work too, of course.
This Alpha Hydroxy Acid moisturizer will gently exfoliate your skin, improving the quality of dry skin, improving skin tone, texture and reducing discoloration and age spots. They are against animal testing and are free of artificial colors and unnecessary chemicals so I always feel good when I use their products.
I use this on my body and it’s quite tough to find body moisturizers that contain AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) so this is definitely one of my staples. It looks

I made a mental note a few weeks ago to start adding more jackets to my wardrobe. I like cold weather so I don’t cover up unless its really cold but the desire for more jackets stems from my desire to want to spend more time in colder climates. Wardrobe manifestation, probably.
This gorgeous jacket caught my eye and it’s completely up my alley. I love its light grey shade – perfect for Fall/Winter and flattering and goes with most everything in my wardrobe. The details on this jacket drew me in – from the clean lines to the pockets to the button-clasp feature on the hood. It’s modern and relevant – two qualities I want in a casual jacket. …

Rick Owens, king of the goth movement for the fashion pack is extending his scope on the world of furniture. It seems like a natural progression for designers – Ralph Lauren did it and so did Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani.
Maison Margiela recently jumped on the bandwagon so having a furniture collection could just be the next diffusion line.
With antlers on his plywood and materials such as fur, leather, marble and shearling – this wouldn’t be your run of the mill collection. After all, would you expect anything less from Mr Owens?

Summer is almost over and Fall is quickly creeping in which makes cardigans and lighter jackets perfect transition pieces. Like this jersey knit.
The first thing that struck me was its scarf-like placket detail. It gives the illusion of a scarf that compliments its clean lines. The grey tone is light and subtle making this an easy layering piece.
This will look good with both tees and shirts so it’s not just for weekend wear. Versatility is an appreciated bonus. I just really like how relaxed this looks – it’s like a grab-and-go piece that will serve you well for both lazy weekends and days when you are rushing to work.

I like flannel and plaids but they should be of the right color palate because this is what you get if you try to experiment with colors on a flannel shirt and end up failing face down.
I like pink and people say ‘Real men do wear pink’ and I agree with the ‘men should wear pink’ portion (the ‘real man’ portion is completely subjective and clothing does not define a man) because stepping out of one’s comfort zone can be quite rewarding. But this is not the shade of pink that you step out of your comfort zone for.
This shocking pink is just shocking and in a tacky, horrible way. And the black patch pockets on the chest …

I am fan of the mangosteen fruit, it is chock full on antioxidants and vitamins and it tastes great! For a year round goodness of the exotic seasonal fruit, I turn to this body lotion from Fresh. The first thing that hits you in the lasting mangosteen scent. It is light, fruity and refreshing. Not too heavy or cloying.
The milky texture glides on and is easily absorbed. With antioxidant Vitamin E and mangosteen extract that protects and nourishes your skin, Vitamin C-rich pomegranate extract, softening camellia seed oil, my staple restorative shea butter and white and blue lotus extracts that soothe the skin; this is one lotion that is as good as the real thing!
