So it’s no secret that the key to great healthy skin is the daily use of SPF. Rain or shine. The sun is your skin’s worst enemy – it breaks down collagen and elastin leading to fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and it create excess melanin (which is not something you want) which leads to dark spots. Needless to say, all of this = premature aging and that my friends, is never and will never be sexy.
With the explosion of BB and CC creams, everyone seems to be able to slightly fake the glow of clear skin. But if you have problematic, breakout-prone skin; these BB and CC formulas that are often filled with silicones that might/clog pores especially if you don’t properly remove them at the end of the day. And it can be rather obvious if you are a guy wearing these thick formulas. No judgement there and there will never be. It’s just that you don’t want your skin to look like it has make-up sitting on it.
Now, tinted sunblocks are a whole other story. They are usually lightweight, oil-free and non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging). They come in one universal shade and instead of masking the imperfections on your complexion, they serve only to add a healthy radiance and a subtle glow. They are also perfect for subtly masking the signs of laser treatments, peels and thorough extractions. If you are constantly on the road, these tinted sunblocks do offer moisturizing properties too so you can skip the day moisturizer if your dopp kit if full. Here are the two tinted sunblocks that are a part of my grooming regimen:
This easy, lightweight version is rather perfect in my books. It is the one I use after every professional laser treatment and peel and the high sun protection factor makes this even more ideal. You really need to protect your skin from the sun after any professional procedure and this one with universal tone helps to hide the redness without clogging pores. Buy this

This tinted sunblock from Radical is perfect if you have very dull skin and you need a quick glowing boost. It has light-reflecting particles to deflect attention from your imperfections as well as diamond powder (yes you read right!) to give a great glow. If this sounds too much for you, don’t fret. The results are actually very natural (make sure you use it on your neck too to even things out). I would use an oil-blotter to blot the excess before leaving the house so that it looks like you just had great sex or are genetically blessed. Both of which are great looks if you ask me.
