It’s my birthday today and I just thought it would be fun if I did a sartorial birthday wishlist for myself. I am very grateful that I have most everything I want sartorially and in life. Of course, there are many things I want for myself and for others but this isn’t the list for that. This list is by JustJen and is for my wardrobe and my shoe cabinet solely and it consists of pieces that I am drooling over or can’t get because they are either sold out or out of my size.
This Alexander McQueen Skull Print Cotton Jersey T-Shirt for 280 Pounds at Mr Porter has been on my mind ever since I saw it. Its dark navy speckled base is just perfection and the faded skull is.. well, you all know how I feel about skulls in fashion.
These ass-kicking Givenchy Last Classic Boots have been on my wishlist since I first laid eyes on them in Paris. But I snoozed and now they are sold out online. This is number one on my priority list and I am starting the hunt for them in Sydney today. Wish me luck.
This wonderful Lanvin Grosgrain Collar Checked Shirt is out of my size – way out of it. Large sizes don’t scare me because I can get my alteration guy to take them in but this one’s only available in XXL now and that scares me.
This Rag & Bone Hampshire Crew Neck Sweater was the first thing that got me out of my post-Summer shopping-funk and coincidentally, the first thing that sold out in a flash as well. Well in my size of course and unlike cotton shirts, altering a sized L wool sweater is like being a hooker and being allergic to blowjobs at the same time. Just doesn’t work.
This Sunsea Wool And Cow Leather Jacket is the sort of beauty that I guess I have to admire in my head when I am day-dreaming since it’s, like everything awesome, sold out.
