I am a big fan of mustard. It was the closest thing to chili sauce for me when I was living the South of France so I ate it almost everyday with most everything. I also love mustard on hot dogs and with sandwiches. But my love for mustard ends there. I might love the taste but I certainly don’t like the color.
Which explains why I am a little confused by this sweater from Marni. I really wanted to like this – I am digging its cute two slits on the front and the contrast tips on the cuffs. They add a completely compelling touch of detail. But unfortunately, not compelling enough to get past the dull yellow mustard shade. It looks a little off – like it’s trying a little too hard to be different. And plus, looking like a condiment is not exactly my idea of a good time. What do you guys think?
