I enjoy double duty items. Ones that take you through casual days and dinner dates. Think of how handy they would be if you happen to have 2 dates on the same day. You don't have to head back to change. Not that I would know - because I don't believe in double-booking. But that's another story for another time.
Simplicity is something else I appreciate. And so are details. Which is why I drawn to this shirt. I've been in the market for casual shirts as long as I have for tees and I like this one.
The white and silver contrast is simple and yet eye-catching. The grey ribbon trim provides a sleek hidden placket and the contrast collar gives a dose of detail that will look great with both summer shorts, jeans and tailored pants.
You could either shorten this and wear this untucked or tuck it in for a night on the town with denim and dress shoes. Either way, this is one piece you'll find many occasions for.

This boots from Marc Jacobs have faux fur trimmings sticking out and screaming for attention. I believe you could get a similar product by hanging around your neighborhood's pet groomer and collecting everything that falls to the ground and a tube of super-glue. I don't think it has any practical usage except to induce double takes and raised eyebrows. This looks like someone skipped 9 appointments with their waxer and went out displaying their unkempt bush of pubic hair. And that is never a good look. Find this at Zappos Couture for US$384.80.
