One of the things I dread the most is when my clothes get stained or when their colors run or when said running colors from other clothing article rub onto an item I intend to wear for years and years. Which is why I dry clean most everything (my hatred for ironing is a big factor - but I digress). That way I can be sure that my clothes get cleaned and stay the way they are longer.
So I cringed when I saw this shirt from Marc Jacobs' diffusion line. I am supposed to believe that the blue patches represent floral pattens? They just look like random ink spots to me. And the pink petals look artificial and cheap; like it got watered down.
The white dots on the blue backdrop just confuses my poor eyes. I don't know where to even begin. Except to close the browser window.
You can find this for US$178 at Saks Fifth Avenue.
I wonder all the time about the individuals who buy pieces like this and also about the individuals who inspire such pieces. I get it, this is funny and tongue-in-cheek but I know I won't be able to wear this on a regular basis. Maybe I don't have enough attitude to carry this off but maybe I don't want to.
