I am not a big fan of pleats on pants. I find them a tad passe and really just unnecessary. However, I am a fan of pleats on shirts – they add a dash of detail and a hit of dressiness to a shirt. The sort that will never go out of style. This shirt from Lanvin is a great example.
I am digging the blue shade of this shirt. When you think pleats, you think tuxedo and white and black. So this pleated shirt is like a breath of fresh air sartorially. The blue shade is a perfect alternative to white or black and would not look out of place in the office or on a date. The bib-panel pleats add a handsome hit of detail that not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
