I know by now what works for me sartorially and what doesn’t. Tanks/singlets fall under the category of pieces that don’t but I wish they would. I just don’t have the arms and the body for it and I look on sometimes in envy of those who can. Which is partly why I am on the fence with regards to this silk top from Lanvin.
The other half of the reason is because I don’t really know how I feel about this kaleidoscope print. I do think it’s striking but I also think that it’s a little too whimsically-retro for my tastes. But I do have to admit that it does grow on you and on the right individual – one blessed with height and a modern, toned physique, it would stand out in a good way when pair with crisp tailoring. Guess you can’t win all the time in life.
