Henri Lloyd AW2011 Key Looks

The Henri Lloyd AW11 menswear collection pays respect to its rich heritage to create a collection that continues to look forward and design for the future, whilst remaining faithful to the brand’s ‘true to the sea’ mantra.

‘Hybrid’ design is at the forefront this season, where nautical, country and city elements are cleverly crafted together to make a modern collection that allows the wearer to express equal consideration for fashion and function. The ‘hybrid’ model is also applied to the styling, which allows the look to be both modern and masculine. This season’s key looks all revolve around a new ‘modern heritage concept’, where a traditional approach has been combined with a more contemporary touch. The colour palette sees tonal and iridescent shades sitting alongside more classic patterns

Key Look 1
The traditional quilted jacket is slimmed down and features a Gore-Tex lining. The brand new grey V neck knit has been updated with the cable running horizontally instead of vertically teamed with a sleek black high grade pebbled leather weekend bag and the grey narrow fit jeans completing a look which mixes tradition and modern with a hint of city style.

Key Look 2
Thinking about the man who always wants to look sharp, in and out of the city, Henri Lloyd has combined a tech jacket with a pair of air force blue slim-fit chinos, a smart shirt styled with chambray ties and a fine merino fitted cardigan to create an outfit which is ideal for modern urban life.

Key Look 3
A beautifully tailored double breasted Melton jacket with leather trims is worn with a casual hooded top inspired by a 1970’s smock jacket for a relaxed urban look with a traditional nautical feel. The look is completed by a bright check shirt and the new stretch cotton narrow fit chino.

Key Look 4
With the concept of ‘modern marine’ in mind, Henri Lloyd takes a bright blue nautical down jacket and puts it together with a striped Henley top layered with a technically inspired hooded sweat. Completing the look, is a new chino fit based on a tapered denim block.

Key Look 5
The style conscious gentleman of today will appreciate the outstanding craftsmanship of the Made in England wax jacket – hand made from the legendary ‘British Millerain’ fabric and featuring the “Henri Lloyd check lining”. A blend of extra fine merino and cotton is used to produce a low v-neck with leather shoulder and elbow patches and the purple urban fit chinos complete that slim, modern silhouette.

Key Look 6
Building on last season, Henri Lloyd combines traditional British checks and American inspired preppy styles with a true ‘British University’ look. The Made in England tweed blazer features leather elbow patches and original wooden buttons and is layered with a washed retro inspired rugby sweater to convey an altogether more relaxed sports influenced aesthetic. Urban fit chinos in vintage wash and an everyday tweed canvas bag completes the look.
