I am a big believer in regular exfoliation - not only does it help even out your skin tone and diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, it also stimulates the renewal of skin cells. All of which constitutes to healthy, glowing skin.
This dermabrasion system piqued my interest with its 8 week program. So I bought it to see how far this would go. Here's how it works: There are 4 levels of strength in this tub and you should stick to each level for 2 weeks at a time. So you use Level 1 from week 1 to week 2 and then Level 2 from week 3 to week 4 and so on and so forth. After the 4th week, you are advised to wait 2-3 weeks before starting at level 1 again.
I finished all 8 weeks of this and I have to say that this really does what it says. In fact, it kicked some serious dead skin cells. My skin looked clearer from week 1 and my pores refined by week 3 and the uneven skin tone I have from past acne lightened and slowly disappeared after week 4 and while this was going on, my skin products absorbed better and I had a healthy glow that didn't go unnoticed.
By the 7th week, my skin looked and felt revived - it was softer, smoother and imperfections were reduced. The waiting period is only a guide - and it all depends on your skin type. I have really oily skin so waiting three weeks without exfoliation was not an option for me. So I went back to this after the 2nd week (all while using other exfoliation products).
This is a hardworking product that is already part of my grooming routine. You can save a few bucks by using this and skipping a trip or two to the dermatologist.
