I am a huge fan of studs and spikes and my love for spiked sneakers have been well-documented on Style Flavors. But that said, just because something is spiked doesn’t mean that my interest will be piqued. Case in point: I am not getting a sartorial boner from this pair of Giuseppe Zanotti mirrored high-top sneakers.
Yes, this pair of sneakers have the requisite pyramid studs but on this pair, there isn’t a sense of coolness or edge that I demand from every pair of shoes that I buy. Instead, the studs are paired with a loud metallic silver leather fabric that screams for attention. Not a great way to start any day I would think. It just comes off as trying a little bit too hard to be cool. Which is a shame though because this pair could have been so much more.
