I like dressy tees. I like them a lot. I find them fuss-free and easy, so they are great for days where I just don't want to be bothered with a shirt. Throw on a fancier tee with pants for a cool, polished look that is both relaxed and proper.

This contrast shoulder tee has all the right amounts of boldness and detail to stand out. The black paint drip design stops mid-way down the center of the tee giving this enough charm to get you through dinner parties and night on the town.

The contrast of black and white brings out the modern feel of this tee; making this one to wear with a blazer/pants combo.

Dior Homme Two Tone High Neck Shirt

High necks are prevalent this season with designers from Rick Owens to Ann Demeulemeester tackling this trend. I don't believe in following trends but there have been a few high neck pieces that have caught my attention and piqued my interest and when they look like this sleek Dior shirt, it's hard not to be captivated.

This shirt is simple at its core and it lets its high neck contrast detail do all the talking. The high neck collar folds over to reveal a white portion that stands out against the solid black of the rest of the shirt. A crisp, straight-on-point detail that draws you in and make you yearn for it.

The zip closure is another interesting point to note. It falls down the left shoulder and replaces the traditional buttons you normally find on a shirt. This is one shirt that speaks out loud all for itself and with quiet, stylish aplomb.

Like the saying goes - the devil's in the details and I don't have any inclination for the devil but I do love details. Especially contrast ones which explains why I lit up when I saw this stunner.

This pair by Dior Homme has a classic lace-up/balmoral shape with the usual 6-eye lace design but what brings this to a whole other level is its contrast leather cap toe. The patent leather cap toes elevates this from ordinary to lust-worthy. Who knew that a contrast variety of leather could do so much good?

The contrast from smooth to sheen is executed perfectly while the asymmetric cap-toe adds not just contrast but also a fresh shape. This is one pair I would wear constantly with everything - from jeans to pants to shorts. How else can one do this justice otherwise?

Dior Homme Wrapped Mid Boot

I have a personal shopping criteria these days: I only buy stand-out pieces. No more generic, same old same old designs for me. As I get older, I should better edit my wardrobe and think before I whip out my piece of plastic.

These pair of boots have that stand-out quality. I am digging the wrap detail and the elastic strap closure. Futuristic and different - this is a pair that would be admired. I also like the sheen on the leather - it further adds a hit of sleekness to this pair.

Which is why I really don't get the chunky rubber sole. I mean look at it, it completely steals attention from the wrap elastic band detail. It looks clumsy and not all at sleek which in itself is a contrast to the chicness of the top portion of this pair of boots.

If they had just used a regular sized sole, this would have been a pair to covet instead this leaves me hot and cold and in my book, that means skip it and move on.

Looking sleek during the colder months of the year is something I try to accomplish. Sometimes, I am torn between throwing on the thickest, most comfortable sweatshirts and heading out the door. I do that sometimes but on days, when I want to dress up and stay toasty, I will need pieces like this jacket.

I am not a fan of large collars on shirts but the large collar on this jacket works here. The slant lapel hold its own and provides a stylish hit of detail that the two studs at the bottom compliment.

The side zip pockets make for convenient storage of your daily essentials while the charcoal grey is a great color for everyday wear. The clean lines and structured look of this jacket makes this wonderful for colder moments when you don't want to be seen in a sweatshirt.

Leather jackets are one of those pieces - perennially cool and timeless. They also don't come cheap which is why they are also investment pieces. You buy one, take care of it and wear it to death. Aside from lots of style points, a great leather jacket will also give you a certain kind of mileage that say, a tuxedo jacket can't.

I am falling for this gorgeous motorcycle inspired jacket. In fact, I have already fallen for this. From its sleek, handsome silhouette to its detail-filled exterior; this is one piece that will really rock your wardrobe.

The asymmetric zip front and oversized foldover collar give an air of cool that everyone will appreciate while the silver snap details add a rough edge that will instantly jazz up a jeans and tee combo. The pockets make this a good traveling companion - store passports, wallets, tickets etc while all the while looking effortless and ready.

Another thing about this piece is the possibility of plenty of options. Use this to edge up a shirt and pants combo or sleek up a jeans/shirt/tee outfit. Take this everywhere with you; I know I certainty would.

Dior Homme Zip Front Trouser

I am not a fan of tracksuits outside of the gym or worn any other time except during excercise or going to the tanning salon. I see people in tracksuits at the mall, in restaurants, in cinemas and it just so sloppy. I get it that it's comfortable but I really don't need a bright pink blob in front of my seat when I am watching Wolverine. And no, I don't think your ass is juicy.

So I am always on the fence when it comes to pieces inspired by sportswear meant to be worn outside an exercise facility. Take this trouser from Dior Homme for example.

I love the grey shade and tone and the front zipper detail is interesting but for me, it hits too close to looking like a pair of expensive designer trackpants. The button front tab is a nice sliver of detail but I am not feeling the love for the zippers. I think the intention to create a standout, wearable piece is there but the zippers cheapen the look and it really is a shame.

Plus, even though this is 100% cotton, it has a sort of Nylon sheen that reminds me just too much of PE lessons. I guess this could work out if you really try hard to dress it up but at the end of the day, wouldn't you rather look effortless than exhausted?
