I know I am very behind on this one but I only just bought a Clarisonic a couple of weeks ago. I know, I know, everyone has been raving about it for a couple of years now. I actually don’t have a reason why it took me so long to get my hands on one. I guess it’s probably my new resolve to get as perfect skin as possible. So there.
Essentially, the Clarisonic is a hand-held tool that oscillates a gentle brush by means of sonic frequency 300 times a second. This means that dead skin cells are removed, paving the way for more refined pores, super soft skin, clearer skin tone and lesser fine lines. Yet it remains gentle enough for twice a day use.
I am never going back to regular manual washing again. This tool does what it says and the results are noticeable from the first couple days of use. After the first use, I immediately had softer and smoother skin that saw my products absorbing better. Yes, this nifty tool allows your serums and moisturizers to absorb better because it clears your skin of the daily debris that manual washing can’t.
I can report that my pores appear finer and my blackheads have lessened. The glow I had that resulted from clear, smooth skin didn’t go unnoticed. So using this in conjunction with a body scrub makes weekly exfoliation so much more effective.
I also got the Clarisonic Brush Head Duo Normal 2 brush heads(2 for US$40) that worked great for my oily/combination skin. The other options are gentle and sensitive brush heads so there is a brush for every skin type. The normal brush head can be used on the body as well so it saves you the hassle of changing brush heads whenever you want to use this tool on your body. Plus it also saves you money in the long run since you only need to buy one type of brush head as opposed to two. I guess you can also use the sensitive/gentle brush heads on the body but I am not sure if they are as effective for the body as the normal option.
The completely waterproof design makes this perfect for use in the shower or bath. This is hands down one of the best things I did for my skin this year and my only regret is that I didn’t buy this sooner.
