I’ve been in a bit of a sneaker-phase lately. I seem to be more interested in wearing and buying them and when a kick-ass pair like this exist, I just have to write about it.
The first thing that strikes you is its multi-lace detail. The long black lace gets a round trip that covers the top portion in an edgy way that is just simply so desirable. The silver zip at the back adds another level of detail that only increases the desirability factor.

Going to the gym is part of my daily routine. I don’t go everyday but I go most everyday and I wear a comfortable tee, gym shorts and my trusty Nikes. And I really don’t have anyone to impress at my gym since I go to the one at my apartment complex and everyone is either too young, married with kids or too old. So really, you know, it’s not as if I need to put in any effort in that regard.

I live in my sneakers. I take them out, I thrash them and I wear them and repeat. So I like how much mileage one can get out of a pair of sneakers and I really like this pair.

Sneakers are a part of my everyday life. I run errands in them, I throw them on when I need to rough it up in the clubs (too many brand new dress shoes damaged after one night of dancing) and they are great for easy, casual, no-fuss days. However, track shoes (the kind you wear to the gym) are not meant to be worn outside the gym. I see guys wearing track shoes with jeans and shirts and it’s just wrong. It completely throws off their whole look and ruins the aesthetic.

I go in and out of phases all the time. I remember my dress shoe phase where all I did was wear dressy leather shoes. Nothing simpler. After a few pairs were damaged in the clubs, bars and dance floor; I decided that it was just wiser and less traumatic to stick with sneakers if I knew I was going to get down and physical. So that started my sneaker phase.
That said, this pair will look good on the dance floor and while you’re running errands. The velcro straps give a retro vibe while the silver stripes and crocodile textured leather add detail and color that goes splendidly with this trendy piece.

I have always turned to Converse for most of my sneakers needs. I find them simple, classic and yet so on trend time and time again. And I wear them with everything from jeans, to shorts to tailored pants. That said, they do come in many different color variations; most of them too loud or garish for my tastes.
