You can’t go wrong with a white shirt – they are the fundamentals of every man’s wardrobe. That said, it’s not very fun to have rows and rows of similar white shirts. Sometimes, variety is key and this wonderful piece shows just why.
The first thing that hits you is the contrast red buttons – striking, bold and yet restrained at the same time. It’s not in-your-face but rather a firm style statement that I can’t get enough off. The slim fit style makes this great if you are going for an un-tucked look.
I love how simple this all is – off-white shirt, contrast buttons. Done. Cool, fun and desirable. I’ll definitely take one!

My wardrobe is mostly made up of white, blacks and greys. They are just so fail-proof. But once in a while, a pop of color is great. This is a fine example of having vivacity and still showing restrain.
The red contrasts perfectly against the dark navy giving this a preppy feel that is fresh and current. This is such an easy piece to throw into the mix – use this to layer over shirts or tees and you can be assured a punch of color that won’t go unnoticed (in a good way of course).
The cashmere fabric just further ensures maximal comfort – something you just can’t have enough of!

I’ve featured a bunch of grooming products over the past week and a lot of them are my travel essentials so a wash bag is a must-have for me. I do have to admit that I need to be more conscientious in what I fill my wash bag with because the zippers on my last wash bag popped because of over-zealous filling.
I digress. This sleek, simple black leather wash bag has my vote. The simple buckle design adds a masculine hit of detail and it’s the only detail necessary.
Style and functionality – you can’t go wrong with that! Get this

The Marc By Marc Jacobs store on South Audley Street will feature the new collection, entitled ‘Don’t Miss The Marc’. I’ve always been a fan of Marc By Marc Jacobs – it’s fun, quirky and allows everyone to have a piece of something from Marc Jacobs at a more affordable price range.
Plus, the new collection will see the return of William Broome’s iconic Miss Marc character – a chick who pretty much is her own person.

A day bag is something I see more and more men carrying these days. From totes to messengers to weekenders to backpacks (yikes!). I wondered what I did or where I placed my essentials before I started carrying around a bag whenever I left the house. Those days seem to be long gone.
But this charming leather messenger bag is here to stay. With its simple, sturdy, masculine design, this is one bag that could possibly take you places and then some. With a top handle and an adjustable shoulder strap, this gives you options and I like bags with options (particularly bags with both shoulder straps and top handles).
The leather will look better with use and age and …

There are shirts that you wear to formal events, shirts that you wear to work, shirts that you wear on a date and then there are shirts that fall in-between. Take this light blue shirt from Marc Jacobs’ diffusion line, Marc By Marc Jacobs, for example.
The light shade of this shirt will fit in right into your spring/summer wardrobe and this would look equally good with jeans, shorts or chinos. With a more casual vibe, this would be something you throw on without needing to fuss about it.
The details will speak for themselves - I am liking the woven button patch that covers the 2 chest pockets. The combination of buttons and a hidden placket gives this shirt a streamlined look that is simple and quiet. Great for …

One of the things I dread the most is when my clothes get stained or when their colors run or when said running colors from other clothing article rub onto an item I intend to wear for years and years. Which is why I dry clean most everything (my hatred for ironing is a big factor – but I digress). That way I can be sure that my clothes get cleaned and stay the way they are longer.
So I cringed when I saw this shirt from Marc Jacobs’ diffusion line. I am supposed to believe that the blue patches represent floral pattens? They just look like random ink spots to me. And the pink petals look artificial and cheap; …
