Would You?: Alexander McQueen Umbrella With Skull Handle

Last week at dinner, my sister and I started talking about personal price thresholds for things in general. I mentioned how I read about women who spend $1200 on a jar of face moisturizers in a magazine earlier that day and I said that as obsessed I am about skincare, I will never pay more than $200 for a facial product. The rationale being that it’s only 1 jar and when it’s finished, it’s finished…

Lanvin Shaggy Dog T-Shirt

I am a dog person and when I was growing up, my favorite books were books on the different breeds of dogs. I would read them over and over again and mark the pages with the dogs that had the characteristics and temperament traits that I liked. I used to live close to a pet store and when I was feeling down, I would go look at puppies…

Drop Crotch Pants Don’t Get My Dollar

When I was in high school, I thought baggy jeans were so cool. You know, the Fubu jeans that was so prevalent on the streets from the late 90s to the early 00s. I had a bunch of those and I rocked them to the amusement of my family who thought I looked absolutely ridiculous. On hindsight, I did look ridiculous and really stupid. Lesson learnt…

Givenchy Rottweiler T-Shirt

I am quite good with moving on and looking towards the future. I don’t spend a lot of time dwelling on the past when it comes to things like past purchases made and the great deals I missed or the pieces that I should have bought but didn’t. But that said, I am still kicking myself for not buying a Christopher Kane gorilla tee when I had the chance…

Acne Black Black Roc Zip Jean

Black jeans are wardrobe staples that you can’t go wrong with. The very black kind. Not the 80s stonewashed kind – just so we are clear. That said, it’s nice to sometimes see labels taking tried and tested classics and putting fresh spins on it. Like what Acne has done with their latest pair…

Burberry Prorsum Mesh T-Shirt

When I was younger, I had lofty rockstar dreams. I wanted to be like Kurt Cobain and Alanis Morissette. So I taught myself guitar and tried writing songs. I had good lyrics but not music because I soon realized that as much as I love music, I am not very musically inclined. I can’t sing and I can’t carry a beat. So you know, double FAIL…

Would You?: Rick Owens Suede Boots With Concealed Wedge

Gender-blending is something designers like Rick Owens and Ann Demeulemester do very well. But what looks good on a model on a runway does not automatically translate in everyday life. This brings me to this pair of suede boots or rather wedges from Rick Owens.
