Helmut Lang Squeegee-Print Hooded Sweatshirt

I am not a hoodie person even though I understand the utility behind them but wearing a hoodie and sweatpants out of the house never appealed to me. But never say never because when done right, everything is possible.
Like this hooded sweatshirt. Granted it doesn’t look like a traditional hoodie (the kind that Juicy Couture and Marc Ecko makes) which is also why this is scoring extra points. The unique print gives this contrast and a textured look that grows on you. I like how you can’t really pin point the exact print or where it starts or ends.
The modern fit makes this a winner that will draw attention in all the good ways and instantaneous offer contrast and a

Helmut Lang Leather & Knit Jacket

Having two different fabrics on one article of clothing is not something new – cotton shirts with silk collars, nylon shorts with cotton interiors, denim with lycra. That said, leather and knit do do splendidly together to help insulate you.

This jacket with its oversize knit collar adds a hit of detail that is modern and stylish. The simple silhouette and lines provide a good backdrop for the folded oversize collar to speak for itself.

No More?

The Daily is reporting that Helmut Lang might just be a no more – with rumors of a plan to discontinue the menswear division.

Sounds about the right time to buy up those Helmut Lang pieces you so desire for nostalgia purposes. …

When I was in high school, I used to make my own tee-shirts. I would have paints, blank tees and markers. Some didn’t turn out so well but my favorite ones were the ones that were faded by the sun or scratched to look faded.

Which probably explains why I like this. The faded block detail is simple and yet arresting. This tee is made to be oversized which makes this perfect for layering. You can use it to add detail and a stream of muted, gradual grey. Wear this all year round; on it own during Summer and with multiple layers during Winter.

Plus, the nonchalant vibe from this tee is appealing to me right now at this point …

Helmut Lang Waistcoat

I’ve been thinking about vest and waistcoats for a while now and given my small frame, it has crossed my mind on several occasions to head to a tailor and have a couple made. I think they add a certain zing to an outfit. They can be used to dress up a shirt and jeans combo or add layer to a pants and shirt look.

This charcoal grey waistcoats from Helmut Lang is simple and versatile. I am liking the clean lines courtesy of the covered button placket and the slash pockets. Though this looks less formal and more causal because of the hidden buttons, this still makes for a good piece to add panache to your outfit.

The grey shade will go with most …
