I have a new obssession – dark spots and uneven skin tone. I get the occasional zits and before they vanish and disappear, they always leave their mark and a parting gift in the form of really obvious brown spots (from melanin that is produced during times of stress and inflammation) The zits come and go in a matter of days but the spots stay on for longer.
I love spending time in the sun and even with protection, my skin bears the brunt of it and it shows via uneven patches. I am actively trying to cut back on my time spent in the sun but I will keep hanging out by the pool for as long as I …

My skin occasionally gets on a pendulum where it goes back and forth between extremely oily and combination. Daily stress, lack of sleep, dehydration from all the travel and time spent under the sun gets my skin confused and I end up with oily and dry, flaky areas.
I had to find a remedy for it and I came across this cleanser from Origins. It’s got a creamy texture that forms easily to rid your skin of the daily grime and oil while balancing and protecting the drier areas.
With extracts of Broad Leaf Kelp Extract to tone down oil production and Tourmaline to enhance the bond between water to ensure greater removal of sticky grime and dirt; this facial wash cleanses effectively and yet seals in moisture for the …

Eye creams should be an essential part of your grooming routine since the delicate area around your eyes are usually the first points on your face to show the signs of aging. Regular use of an eye cream will not only help combat puffiness and persistent dark circles, it will also help fight fine lines and soothe the thin eye area.
I picked this up at the store a few weeks ago and I’ve become a fan of its lightweight creamy texture that instantly moisturizes the delicate areas of my eyes. The all-natural botanical formula means that even those with sensitive skin can benefit from this anti-aging eye cream.
With extracts of Green Tea, Chamomile and Cornflower Water to help fight puffiness and Vitamin A & E to combat free radicals and the signs of …

I get the occasional zits and they take me a couple of days or even less to get rid of; after all these years of dealing with zits, I have become accustomed to the routine of drying them out and treating them at the source. What I am not used to just yet is the dark spots that these zits leave behind.
These dark spots are not as stubborn as the ones you get from premature aging but since I do not have to worry about aging skin just yet; they still bother me with their extended stay on my skin.
I decided to try this moisturizer from Shiseido after picking up a few of their products at the store. I do not have much experience with whitening …

I’ve been a fan of Avene products for a couple of years now and I picked this up at the store along with a couple of other Avene products without giving much thought to it because it was on sale and I would always need eye creams. I didn’t use it till 3 weeks ago and like all the Avene products I have used, this one didn’t disappoint.
I was spending time in the sun, swimming more and the area around my eye got very dry and tight from the rays and the chlorine. This eye cream helped relieve and treat all of those symptoms quickly and effectively.
Chock full of Avene’s thermal spring water and Alpha-bisabolol, this white cream slaters on easily to envelope …

We don’t usually write about colognes or fragrances here at Style Flavors but when something is worth mentioning, we will. Just the other day, I found an old bottle of CK Be in one of the day bags I had forgotten I had and it made me think back of years ago.
This used to and still is my favorite scent (even though I have moved on to longer lasting ones). I used to proclaim when I was in high school that one day, I would make enough money to be able to smell like CK Be the whole entire day (and that included my sheets and my house). Being an EDT (Eau DE Toilette), it doesn’t last as long as I …

I am a huge fan of facial masks – they are perhaps one of the more relaxing times in the day when I can be still and chill for the next couple of minutes and attain better skin at the same time. Gotta love that.
I’ve been using this clay mask for 3 weeks now and I like how easy it is to rinse off and how it doesn’t harden so you can still say thank you with ease when the postman delivers your package; for example. What I like best is the clean, soft slate my skin is given after every use while looking brighter and clearer.
Another point worth mentioning is how this doesn’t over-dry your skin. With extracts of Aloe Vera, Pro-vitamin B5 …

Zits always seem to have the worst sense of time – they pop up when you least expect them to; just when you think you won’t have to deal with them for a while, one appears, threatening to have a field day.
That was what happened to me last week and there was no better time to give this spot treatment a shot; I bought this thinking I might need it someday when I was stocking up on products and it turns out that I really did need it.
This spot treatment has a drier texture that I was expecting but it only takes a few seconds of massaging it into the zit for it to be absorbed into the problem …

After my success with Clinique’s Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer, I was eager to give this night cream a more thorough whirl. I’ve used this before here and there but never really dived into it until a couple of weeks ago when I picked up a jar at the store.
I was looking for something richer; something that would help reverse the harmful effects of my time spent in the sun and also hydrate the drier parts of my skin continuously.
My skin was instantly hydrated from this rich cream which helped eased the discomfort around the flaky, dried-out area over my chin. This cream is packed with vitamins and antioxidants to help stimulate new cell growth and boost skin’s natural repair cycle. My skin looked brighter, …

Your eyes are one of the first points on your face to show the initial signs of aging. Late nights, copious amounts of alcohol and disturbed sleep all display their ugly heads on your eyes by means of dark circles and dullness. Even drinking too much water before bed can cause excess water retention which leads to puffiness around the eye area.
I use this eye cream for those rough days when things just don’t seem to work themselves out and I just have to intervene. This luxurious cream works quickly to hydrate the delicate area around your eye while with regular use, dark circles are diminished and the area lighter and brighter.
I also turn to this after beach …

Serums are a step in the skin care routine that should be given more attention to. They pack a higher dose and a more concentrated form of the moisture, vitamins, antioxidants that your moisturizer has. They go on after your toner and before your moisturizer.
I’ve been reading about this serum for a while now and have been meaning to give this a shot. When it came time for me to do my usual product shopping round weeks ago, I thought ‘what a great time to give this a shot’, so I picked up 2 tubs of this and I glad I did.
The pink gel glides on to give your skin an instant smoothness and a blanket of hydration. I used this …
