Zits always seem to have the worst sense of time – they pop up when you least expect them to; just when you think you won’t have to deal with them for a while, one appears, threatening to have a field day.
That was what happened to me last week and there was no better time to give this spot treatment a shot; I bought this thinking I might need it someday when I was stocking up on products and it turns out that I really did need it.
This spot treatment has a drier texture that I was expecting but it only takes a few seconds of massaging it into the zit for it to be absorbed into the problem …

After my success with Clinique’s Total Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer, I was eager to give this night cream a more thorough whirl. I’ve used this before here and there but never really dived into it until a couple of weeks ago when I picked up a jar at the store.
I was looking for something richer; something that would help reverse the harmful effects of my time spent in the sun and also hydrate the drier parts of my skin continuously.
My skin was instantly hydrated from this rich cream which helped eased the discomfort around the flaky, dried-out area over my chin. This cream is packed with vitamins and antioxidants to help stimulate new cell growth and boost skin’s natural repair cycle. My skin looked brighter, …

Serums are a step in the skin care routine that should be given more attention to. They pack a higher dose and a more concentrated form of the moisture, vitamins, antioxidants that your moisturizer has. They go on after your toner and before your moisturizer.
I’ve been reading about this serum for a while now and have been meaning to give this a shot. When it came time for me to do my usual product shopping round weeks ago, I thought ‘what a great time to give this a shot’, so I picked up 2 tubs of this and I glad I did.
The pink gel glides on to give your skin an instant smoothness and a blanket of hydration. I used this …

Despite having extremely oily skin, my skin still gets dried out occasionally by certain cleansers. You know how it is, the tight uncomfortable dry feeling after every wash. That’s usually a sign that your cleanser is too harsh.
This foaming cleanser from Patricia Wexler effectively removes dirt, grime, oil and in the process refines the look of your pores without over-drying skin at all. It also fights the first signs of aging, leaving you with a brighter, healthier slate.
I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now and I like how it keeps the zits at bay while enhancing my skin’s defense against fine lines and sun damage. I just love dual purpose products. Give it a good shake before every use to ensure the ingredients get mixed up well.

Vitamins that provide antioxidant protection like C and E are not only good for your health, they are also useful for eradicating signs of premature aging like fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating the renewal of skin cells.
This serum is packed with stabilized Vitamin C to give your skin the extra boost of nutrient it needs to repair itself at night. After days of lounging by the pool under the Balinese sun, my skin needed some help and I had to do some damage control.
I slapped this on religiously every night and aside from the pleasant fresh scent, this serum absorbs quickly to hydrate dried-out skin. My skin became brighter, smoother and looked healthier. The only sign of time spent under the sun was a great tan. If only that was true with every vacation.…

Contrary to popular belief, oily skin has its dry and flaky moments too just like any other skin type. Harsh soap, dry climate and acne treatments are just some of the contributing factors that dehydrate skin.
I recently had to deal with a sudden breakout arising from stress and sudden climate change and my treatment plan left my skin tight, uncomfortable and flaky. I found this at the Avene counter at the drugstore and I jumped on it. I am a fan of Avene products and I was so throughly impressed with this.
This moisturizer is specially formulated to help your skin deal with dry and harsh acne treatments. With a very high concentration of Avene thermal spring water, this …

Vacations do come with their own stress and these stresses can manifest themselves into zits that will require stronger, dryer potions which in turn add to the dryness of your skin winter. I had to deal with this while in Italy along with flaking and tightness that just took its own sweet time to get better.
This cream turned out to a real skin-saver. My parched, flaky skin immediately became hydrated and with regular use, softer and healthier. Gone was the tightness and the discomfort.
With potent extracts of peanut oil to restore the hydrolipidic layer, hyarulonic acid to increase moisture retention and alfafa to stimulate collagen production while firming and regenerating.
Slap this on day and night or anything …

Plane rides and winters can cause even the oiliest skin to dry up and fake. This was what happened during the past 2.5 weeks in Italy. My skin was dehydrated and looking tired. I picked this up at the airport and it really came in handy.
The light texture goes on smoothly, easily and doesn’t leave you with a sticky feeling which is a good quality because I tend to slap on another layer of moisturizer during the winter months and having my pores clogged is not something else I need to deal with.
With extracts of sugar cane to regulate moisture, shea butter to lock in moisture, ginseng to stimulate and refresh, olive and chestnut tree to nourish; this cream will ensure day long comfort.

Your skin repairs itself when you sleep and sometimes it needs a little bit of help; or a lot of help. Hence night creams should be an integral part of your grooming regime.
This night cream from Biotherm helps repair and treat the first signs of aging – fine lines, saggy skin and dullness. I started using this when my skin was freaking out – from zits, sun exposure and the general lack of sleep.
After 4 weeks of use, my skin looked healthier, brighter and felt firmer. The fine lines around my eyes have slowly disappeared and I have a more rested-looking complexion. With extracts of pure olive leaf concentrate and thermal plankton; this moisturizer helps repair worn out skin by stimulating the synthesis …

My lips get chapped quickly and easily, as such, lip balm is as important as bringing my wallet when I leave the house. I’ve had instances where my lips crack and start bleeding on days when I don’t have a stick of balm with me.
I like this balm because it not only protects your lips, it also soothes, conditions and repairs. My chapped, dehydrated lips were quickly hydrated and soften and with regular use, the condition of my lips improved.
I have an allergy to Petroleum Jelly and its by-products so I was glad when I found this because this is also great for sensitive lips while gliding on easily.
It’s got a traditional lipstick roll-up design so that …

In life, accidents happen and sometimes shit hits the fan. It could be at work, at home or after a skin treatment. For me, it was after a skin treatment – the laser was too harsh on my skin and I had a small spot on my nose as a reminder to not think that I know better all the time; because I don’t.
I picked this up at the store as soon as I realized the redness was not going to subside in hours; it had started flaking and was looking a tad inflamed. I applied this and hoped for the best. This turned out to be a bit of a skin saver.
After the first day, the burnt …

If you’re not a fan of spending hours laying in the sun; it can get old after a while, the quickest way to get some color safely is by using a self-tanning moisturizer.
I’ve been using this moisturizer for about 1 year now when I want to get some color quickly. My skin adapts to tanning and self-tanners quite well – I don’t burn or look unnatural (at least I haven’t been told so!)
This doesn’t have that overpowering tan smell a lot of other similar products do. It doesn’t smell very great but it is not something you notice once you finished application. The good thing about this is that it gradually develops color so you don’t look orange. …
