Shea butter is one of my favorite moisturizers. Not only is it natural, it also softens and soothes while providing skin with antioxidant protection.
This rich skin cream from Jergens with its high concentration of pure African shea butter not only hydrates, it also heals and protects skin from future environmental aggressions.
I took a few tubes of this with me to Bali and after daily sun worshiping, my skin was treated to this luxurious body cream that absorbed easily despite its heavy content. I am a fan of its delicious scent, part cocoa, part mango; it smells great and is a fantastic companion to an end of a heavy day.
With vital vitamins and nutrients, this body cream will …

I used to be a sun worshiper, so much so that I could be mistaken for a sun whore. After years of basking in the sun and patchy skin and a couple of dark spots later, I have wisen up. I turn to self-tanners now for a post-vacation glow anytime I need it. Besides, the safest tan is a fake one.
I have tried a bunch of self-tanners; all promising color and radiance without looking a carrot stick. Most don’t really deliver, some do but not as well as their copywriters believe them to. So I was a bit hesitant and unconvinced when I saw this at the store but I picked it up anyway because it was on sale …

I picked this up 2 years ago at Trader Joe’s and I have been using this ever since. With deodorants, I always try to get ones that are as natural as possible. I am not a fan of having chemicals seep through my pits or clog up my sweat glands.
This natural deodorant stick from Tom’s of Maine is free from artificial or animal ingredients and aluminum (found in a lot of deodorants on the market today). With extracts of Hops (a botanical ingredient) that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, this unscented (it’s got a very very light citrus smell) deodorant ensures I stay fresh the whole day. Because it is made from natural ingredients, this doesn’t irritate your …

Attaining a sun-kissed glow is my skin project-of-the-moment. I haven’t been doing anything under the sun and I have been avoiding it like the plague for the last 2 months. I wanted to work on achieving a more even skin tone and getting rid of my old dark spots. So from now on, I only get my tan from a bottle.
This tan mist is my latest tool in my self-tan arsenal. This lightweight mist goes on my skin quickly and easily meaning hardly any dry time needed. The green tea floral scent masks up any nasty self-tanner smell and I was left with a burst of color.
The very natural color is a major plus point and the fact that

I am a firm believer in sun protection because I have seen first hand how spending time under the sun without protection can wreck havoc on your skin. That said, I do find it a chore sometimes to apply sunblock. Not only do you have to slater it on, you have to rub and massage it in so it doesn’t look gloppy or filmy. That takes a while which is why I am a fan of this sunblock in a can.
This sprays in all direction so you can easily get hard to reach areas of your body and the mist instantly refreshes and cools your skin which makes it a fanatstic companion on beach vacations. It also saves you a whole …

My lips have a mind their own, they chap, split and bleed at slight dryness and constantly feel dehydrated. They are also very sensitive and have allergies to petroleum and other by-products. So just because a lip balm doesn’t contain petroleum, it doesn’t mean that I can use it because there are a few other compounds that my lips are allergic to that I haven’t yet figured out. So for now, I stick with organic products and this lip repair cream.
I discovered this lip cream a couple of weeks ago and it’s become my go-to staple for healthier, conditioned lips. It doesn’t contain petroleum and my lips haven’t rejected it so that’s a good sign. But my lips were …

My feet are quite prone to hardened skin and callouses. I am not sure what exactly the cause is but I could tell how much harder the soles and skin under my feet became when I started working out. Then the skin would become softer when I stopped working out. It’s strange.
That said, I use this handy cream to help moisturize and condition my feet. The 10% Glycolic Acid is great for breaking down skin cells and gently shedding them making way for newer, fresher skin. The minty fresh feel and scent comes courtesy of Spearmint and Menthol – which makes this quite soothing after a day of intensive shopping or sightseeing.
One way to use this is to

I have started to incorporate more SPF protection into my daily grooming regime. From my eyes to the body and it was so that I went out in search of a daily body moisturizer with SPF and I hit jackpot when I found this.
This daily body lotion is chocked full of natural organic botanics – Chamomile, Green Tea, Rose Hips, Echinacea to soothe, moisturize and repair. And that’s not what got me excited. This also contains AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) for gently daily exfoliation. I am a firm believer in fruit acids and regular exfoliation and this just takes the cake – AHAs and SPF!
It’s like getting more than you hope to get – but in a very

I suffer from the occasional back and chest acne – they just seem to pop up overnight no matter how clean I keep myself. I use the same zit-killing products for my body as I do my face but sometimes, said products end up drying up my zits and my skin at the same time.
Which is where this wonderful shower gel comes in. It’s not everyday that you have a shower gel formulated for sensitive skin at such a wallet-friendly price. Even though men have thicker and oiler skin than women, there are still times where we just need something calming and gentle.
I have been using this shower gel for more than a week now and I am

I shower after every work out – I know that’s a given but that does not seem to help with the occasional chest and back zits. I am a firm believer in personal hygiene but I believe my sweat and sebaceous glands are just really enthusiastic. Which leads to body acne which is not sexy at all.
I needed something to help get rid of them. I usually just use zit cream but sometimes, it gets too drying or I need some extra help. This body spray came in handy. I like its light texture that absorbs quickly. With anti-oil and shine properties; this is great for both body and face. I had a flaming zit and this help reduce the

I am constantly in and out of air-conditioned environments daily and as such, my skin gets dry and it could look better. I picked this up because of because of the claim of body butter ribbons. I thought, what do I have to lose?
I didn’t think much of it but I was actually surprised at the softness of my skin after every shower. It was also smoother and looked healthier after a week. I bring this along to beach vacations – it’s perfect for combating the sun’s dehydrating effects.
