The devil’s in the details and one (of the many) reasons why I adore Nicolas Ghesquiere and his vision/work for Balenciaga is as such. This fantastic tee is a perfect example of that statement.
This black tee looks like an ordinary black tee but if you look closely, you’ll see that it’s so much more than just an ordinary tee! The two button fastening detail is a hit of cool – wear it exposed to further show off the contrast and the quiet, refined detail.
The micro-dots sewn into the white contrast fabric is a detail that one might miss but for those in the know – it’s a thrilling representation of the genius of Nicolas Ghesquiere. The simplicity of this

A formal waistcoat is one of those pieces that will make a man stand out in the sea of other men. A 3 piece ensemble is as classic as they come and even sans jacket, a waistcoat and shirt combo is something worth writing home about.
This satin waistcoat is scoring major points and it’s easy to see why. The satin portion adds a formal dimension that never goes out of style while the narrow collar and lapels give this a fresh feel without sacrificing any of its classic, evergreen quality.
The asymmetrical hemline is another detail that I am falling for – a subtle deviation from the common that those in the know would appreciate. Use this to instantly

Contrast when done right is a breath of fresh air. Sliver of details that only enhances a piece’s desirability factor. A tried-and-tested combination: black and red.
Red, in itself, is a strong color; and against black, it’s a even stronger stand-out. This simple cardigan has all the trappings of a piece you throw on on a lazy day and let it do all the expressing for you.
The red stripes on both pockets and at the back of the collar showcase an attention to detail that will always be appreciated. It goes without saying – the black just makes this an easy fit for any wardrobe.

With the weather warming up, Fall pieces are on sale and if you look hard enough, good bargains can be had. A great way to shop for pieces for next season is during sale periods (like now). We don’t follow trends here at Style Flavors and so it doesn’t matter when we buy the clothes we want.
This champagne colored coat caught my eye and with good reason. The black leather trim provides a sleek contrast that make the buttons on this coat pop up even more. The slight asymmetrical button placket provides a subtle, stylish sliver of detail.
The button tab at the cuff adds a vibe of refinement while the lone button on the back rounds up this great piece.

A versatile piece is a worthy piece indeed and in the spirit of conscious consumerism, I do a quick mental sartorial calculation on every piece of clothing I buy. Well, most of it anyway. If it can be worn in different scenarios, then it’s in my cart.
Like this pretty rad knit vest here. I am digging the deep indigo color; a shade that is classic and so friendly. Friendly in the sense that it can be paired with most everything. From work to play.
The chambray back adds a dash of unexpected detail that is fresh and all cool. A surprising hit of color that will not only look good in the corporate world but also on a night out

For Fall/Winter 2010, Yigal Azrouël presents a collection strong on tailoring. Silhouettes are lean and architectural, with undertones of reconstruction. Hybrids of different garments and fabrications creates new silhouettes and pseudo layers. This is most relevant in the jackets with resin leather sleeves and the subtle patchwork details seen throughout.
Fully matched suits offer toughness with removable shearling cuffs, leather inserts and metal accents. The masculine/feminine play works its way into the men’s and women’s collections equally. High-neck details emphasize a certain restraint yet offer softness in their drape and asymmetry. Preferring a streamlined look, texture is created from the self-fabric with technical intricacy.
Spontaneous bursts of color come in rouge, pansy and butterscotch, lightening the mood. Azrouël designs several

I’ve said before that a leather jacket is one of those investment pieces – one that might cost a fortune right now but the mileage they provide more than make up for their high cost in the long run. I’ve been on the look out for leather jackets on and off for the past couple of months and I am holding out for the perfect one.
I came across this and was instantly thrilled with its biker-cool vibe and the gaggle of details that draw you even closer. The multiple zippers in light brass tone offer a contrast that is outstanding without over-dramatization. The slash pockets provide both form and function while the cuff zippers further adds to the kick-ass feel.

There’s something to be said about a tailored pinstripe jacket. The light stripes add a dash of dressy-ness and with proper execution, can elevate an outfit to a whole other level.
This single-breasted jacket will do just that. The classic shape will stand the test of time while the ribbon collar adds a sliver of delicate detail that will always be appreciated. Rough this up with jeans and sneakers for a nonchalant cool vibe or dress this up to impress. Either way, you have a winner on your hands.
