Nice Collective Tux Jacket

There are certain occasions that fall between formal and informal. Like brunch with the future in-laws or parents of someone very special. Or dinner parties at your boss’. A jacket is always appreciated espeically one that speaks for itself without getting in the way of your personality.
This black tux jacket is a tad too informal for a black-tie event but it makes for a good piece for occasions that fall in-between the fence. The contrast trimming stands out and brings out the understated quality of this piece. The dark black buttons add a hit of solid color that further brings out the white contrast.
The wonderful thing about this is that you can wear this any way – with

Rag And Bone Fencing Jacket

With Fall comes lots of layering and huddling up to stay warm. A sleek outerwear piece will help get you through gloomy winter days; at least they serve as more pleasant distractions. This fencing jacket is one such piece. With its assymetrical zip closure that instantly adds a dash of cool, this is one on-trend piece.
The button tab collar and the visible linings on the front give this a classic leather jacket feel but the wool sleeves gives this an unexpected twist that is fresh and modern. The mash of two fabrics stands out among the sea of leather jackets.
I’ve never tried fencing and it looks fun, I am not sure if I will be good at it

Yohji Yamamoto Contrast Placket Sport Shirt

Besides color contrast, another detail I like a lot is fabric contrast. So when a piece combines two of my favorite kinds of detail into one shirt, I am sold. This white shirt immediately hits you by way of the jet black felt placket. The contrast provided is rich and I just can’t stop looking at this.
The white cotton brings out the black felt and though you can’t see it from the pictures here, the felt fabric pops up against the cotton of the shirt. This is simple, classic and a piece that won’t go out of style. Black and white combinations have been done and manipulated for years and years and this will stand the test of time.

Givenchy Bondage Strap Shirt

I’ve always looked on in curiosity and fascination at the leather and bondage movement. The way participants present themselves, at times in utter obedience and others in complete domination. I won’t be very good at either because I hate being told what to do and as much as I am a control freak, I like being challenged and to have a platform to jump beyond myself and dive deeper.
But that said, I really dig some of the edgy garb that adorn the bodies on these men and women. The routine I can’t do but the sartorial part, I will sign up for immediately if it means wearing this shirt.
I am loving this bondage-inspired shirt that seems to really call out

Raf Simons Waistcoat

I’ve always had a thing for waistcoats. I find them extremely charming when worn correctly and are versatile enough to be worn on any occasions. Button up and pair with a tuxedo shirt for dinners and night on the town or unbutton them and throw them over a tee for a downtown, street look.
Though in a sea of waistcoats, having one that stands out never hurts. This gorgeous piece will do just that. The most arresting detail is the cut-off pockets. It looks like a regular waistcoat but if you look again, you’ll see the seams for the pockets are exposed to give a cut-off effect that raises the cool factor instantly.
The shoulders are made from a different fabric and

Richard Chai Wool Motorcycle Jacket

I have been obsessing about jackets for about a week or so now. I’ve been thinking a lot about leather jackets, motorcycle jackets and just outerwear in general. A great jacket is a sure-fire way to edge up a simple jeans and tee combo. Throw on a pair of boots for good measure and go rock on. I already have my next jacket purchase planned out from a list of potentials.
This sleek piece was on my list and with good reason. I am completely feeling this. The fusion of a classic double-breasted style with a modern motorcycle look gives this an instant kick-ass effect. The side zipper detail adds a hit of cool to this piece while the zippers on the cuffs

Helmut Lang Squeegee-Print Hooded Sweatshirt

I am not a hoodie person even though I understand the utility behind them but wearing a hoodie and sweatpants out of the house never appealed to me. But never say never because when done right, everything is possible.
Like this hooded sweatshirt. Granted it doesn’t look like a traditional hoodie (the kind that Juicy Couture and Marc Ecko makes) which is also why this is scoring extra points. The unique print gives this contrast and a textured look that grows on you. I like how you can’t really pin point the exact print or where it starts or ends.
The modern fit makes this a winner that will draw attention in all the good ways and instantaneous offer contrast and a

Armani Collezioni Knit Jacket

Fall is my second favorite season because of the myriad of sartorial options that it brings with it. You have layering options, outerwear, vests, boots – pieces that get most mileage out of colder weather. Sometimes, the best way to feel good and stay toasty is via a great jacket.
Right now, this wonderful piece has all my attention. The asymmetrical zip closure is on trend and so fresh giving this a vibrant, updated look that is sure to jazz up any outfit. The grey wool is classic and will go with most everything in your closet.
What I am digging most is the velvet trim on the collar, seam and elbow patches. This hit of luxury is eye catching and so pleasing. The

Richard Chai Double-Breasted Sweater Coat

I am not usually a fan of sartorial chunkiness and the outerwear of Fall can be guilty of that. It takes detail and a substantial punch to alleviate a piece’s heaviness. And this double breasted coat has just that.
The zipper detail instantly adds an edge and completely removes all traces of chunkiness. It also elevates this coat to a whole other modern level. It looks current but not faddish. Completely on point and fresh.
It showcases perfectly the beauty of details and how something simple can make an outfit a lot more. Get this Richard Chai Double Breasted Seater Coat for US$825 at Saks Fifth Avenue

Surface To Air Claude Classic Hilton Pipeline Shirt

Just the other day, I realized with a mix of disappointment and regret, that the ruffled effect on my first ever Hugo Boss shirt was so faded, the shirt looked like an ordinary plain white button-down. I am a little sentimental when it comes to clothes and shoes, so I remember my ‘firsts’. I’ve only worn this shirt less than a handful of time in the 4 years since I’ve had it.
I came to the conclusion that the light ruffled print was an effect achieved by manipulated the fabric of the shirt and this ‘print’ started fading off after all the dry cleaning this has been through.
I made a mental note to wear this out yesterday and it’s

Dior Homme Two Tone High Neck Shirt

High necks are prevalent this season with designers from Rick Owens to Ann Demeulemeester tackling this trend. I don’t believe in following trends but there have been a few high neck pieces that have caught my attention and piqued my interest and when they look like this sleek Dior shirt, it’s hard not to be captivated.
This shirt is simple at its core and it lets its high neck contrast detail do all the talking. The high neck collar folds over to reveal a white portion that stands out against the solid black of the rest of the shirt. A crisp, straight-on-point detail that draws you in and make you yearn for it.
The zip closure is another interesting point to note.
