Dries Van Noten Elegance Cardigan

Super soft knitted cardigan with a knitted belt. Slim shape, a bit longer than usual and a tad of alpaca in the mix that gives the piece an amazingly soft feel.

Dries Van Noten Silk Patterned Waistcoat

I have been thinking a lot about waistcoats recently. There is something about this additional layer that is part appealing, part suave and all enticing. It can be worn sans jacket for a dressier alternative to a simple shirt and pants combo or with a suit for a smart, dapper look.

This silk piece caught my eye with its belt – the simplicity of it and its strength in captivating anyone who cares to notice is desirable on so many levels. And the only thing the all-over perforation does is to allow for greater ventilation and maybe show off the color of your socks.

And if you really want ventilation and to blatantly display your socks, buy some sandals …

Dries Van Noten Patterned Turtleneck Sweater

Staying warm during the winter months usually involves layers after layers. It is easy to look like a walking caricature of something you do not normally want to be associated with when done wrong. Hence, you want to keep it simple and yet stylish (keeping in mind the fit and colors that work for you).

This turtleneck sweater will not do you any justice. I don’t understand why designers feel the need to complicate pieces. I will not be more drawn to an item just because there is an extra 3 rows of diamonds.

And plus, why would you want to look like a walking deck of cards? Playing and winning at the poker table is one thing. This is just an overkill and an outright display of too
