Leonello Borghi Deerskin Trainer

Having a roomy enough everyday bag is essential for me. It’s not that I hoard stuff, it’s just that I try as hard not to take plastic bags so whenever I go shopping, I always find myself stuffing all my purchases in my bag. A roomy bag also makes for a versetile weekender for sleepovers and short, easy trips.

This simple black one caught my eye the other day. The belted straps and the lone pocket in front gives this a modern feel while retaining the easy structure that makes this one that will never go out of style.
The leather deerskin makes this hardy and good for gym use if you desire something fancier to store your gym essentials.

Thrifty Flavors: French Connection Spiral Trilby

This season sees an emergence of hats, particularly the dapper variety like the one featured here. I say bring it on. If you can carry it off, I think they look snappy and individualistic in the sense that if you can carry it off, you get extra points for expressing yourself via this platform but if you can’t and still refuse to give up, well then, you end up looking generic.
The contrast of greys here is done with such restrain and thought that I just can’t stop thinking of good this would look on the right person. The shorter brim gives this a looser, more relaxed vibe that will reverberate through your whole look.

Alexander McQueen Signet Ring

When I was younger, I, like most kids associated skulls with death and evil. TV, movies, books all helped to fuel that. But now, skulls take on a whole different meaning. They are edgy and a sure-fire way to add some serious punch to any outfit.
This signet ring will help accomplish that. The pop-up skull is menacing and kick-ass like something Skeletor would wear (I love He-Man when I was younger and I still do). I am not a big jewelery person but if I had to wear something, it would be a piece like this.
This is made small and to be worn on your last finger. If you have skinny, slim fingers, you can also wear this on any

Balenciaga Black Travel Trolley

Season after season, design houses take their iconic classic pieces and reinterpret them by adding/removing studs, zippers, compartments etc. For this season, Balenciaga decided to make a gorgeous, envious travel trolley.

I have never been one to believe in spending too much for a luggage. What’s the point? It gets tossed, thrown, manhandled all the time. Of course, it’s a different story if you only hand carry which is something you would if you have one of this.

Belstaff Black Canvas Satchel

There is a line in the The Hangover where the oddball character played by Zach Galifianakis defended his choice of accessory when asked just why the hell he was carrying a purse to dinner. To which he answered, “No, it’s a satchel… Indiana Jones has one.” That was one of the funniest lines in the movie.
If you have seen the movie, I think that Zach wouldn’t have had so much hell if he had a satchel like this one. Granted, it’s a tad too big for dinner but stick with me.
It’s too large for dinner and a night on the town but that wouldn’t be much of an issue if you had this and came straight from work.

Marni Blue Metal Sunglasses

Eye wear is a platform for expression that I don’t think I do very well. I wear sunglasses to shield my eyes from the sun or when I do not want to be disturbed. But I know people who match their outfits to their glasses and buy glasses as often as shoe fiends buy shoes.
I think this striking blue pair would appeal to some. The angular, almost rectangular shape is structured and gives a strong, masculine feel. The blue tone is a breath of color and it contrasts nicely with the metal arm.
The light tinted lenses round up this engaging pair. Unlike some sunglasses, you can use this frame too for daily glasses by replacing the lenses with prescription ones.

Emporio Armani Classic Borsalino Hat

I love sitting down at a cafe and people watching in Europe. It’s relaxing, fascinating and a good way to spend a lazy afternoon. I always marvel at the individualistic style of the inhabitants of Paris, Milan, Rome. They dress for themselves and their desire for fit shows. I also dig when the men top off their outfits with a hat.
It’s envy because I am not one who can carry that look. But for those who can, this classic borsalino hat is a fantastic piece to start with. The slate grey is sleek and distinguished and the black strap with mother-of-pearl plaque offers contrast and a stylish touch. I like how the brand logo is placed subtly without robbing attention from

Raf By Raf Simons Fred Perry Leather Weekend Bag

I love road trips – being spontaneous and simply going somewhere when the moment strikes is one of life’s better moments. And for spur-of-the-moment times, a weekender will come in very handy.
This leather weekend designed for Fred Perry by Raf Simons has my vote. The classic weekender shape is structured and solid; looking sleeker than a regular duffel. The adjustable belted handles give you detail and functionality while the roomy interior provides ample space for a couple of days worth of essentials.
At first I thought there were tiny logos stamped all over this piece but on closer inspection, I realized that there are no logos – save for a small Fred Perry one (more points for subtlety). The leather

Jack Spade Folded Messenger

I have a personal rule when it comes to bag shopping – that is all potential bags must have shoulder and top handles. A lot of day bags just have either one and I do the versatility of slinging it over my shoulders or toting it.
Which brings me to this messenger. It has got both adjustable shoulder straps and top handles with a rugged handsome look that I am liking. The fold of the top flap is an interesting detail that makes this stand out from the sea of messengers while the chocolate shade is masculine and great for everyday use.
It’s also big enough to hold all your daily essentials be it for work or play. Speaking of work, no

CA4LA Large Lurex Knit Baker Boy Cap

I’ve been throwing a cap on almost everytime I head out of the house for the past month or so. It’s a phase I am currently in. An easy, very dressed down, bordering on lazy phase I am in. Having to style my hair just is too much work and I just simply can’t be bothered.
Which is why I am feeling this baker boy cap. In a cool shade of grey, this piece has a vintage yet current vibe that is charming and collected. It looks effortless and would be prefect for lazy days.
And it goes with everything. I am imaging a bicycle ride in the country or for plane rides when you don’t want to fall asleep

Thrifty Flavors: The Brothers Bray And Co. Weekender

If I had a choice, I would much prefer to not have to travel to get a workout. It’s just too much hassle and I am glad that I have a gym at my apartment complex so I can just head downstairs and work out. But when I was living in Seattle, I had to travel to the gym so I had a gym bag. It was an old duffel and it was falling apart from overuse.
Back then, I really could have used a sleek piece like this one. I am digging the clean lines and the attention to detail. The belted closure adds a dignified air to this weekender while the leather contrasts wonderfully with the canvas. The

Silksleep Eye Masks

I started sleeping with eye shades a few years back during the time when I was traveling every other week. Eye shades ensured I got some semblance of sleep on 14 hour flights. So that and ear plugs are my sleep essentials.
