So I am always on the fence when it comes to pieces inspired by sportswear meant to be worn outside an exercise facility. Take this trouser from Dior Homme for example.
I love the grey shade and tone and the front zipper detail is interesting but for me, it hits too close to looking like a pair of expensive designer trackpants. The button front tab is a nice sliver of detail but I am not feeling the love for the zippers. I think the intention to create a standout, wearable piece is there but the zippers cheapen the look and it really is a shame.
Plus, even though this is 100% cotton, it has a sort of Nylon sheen that reminds me just too much of PE lessons. I guess this could work out if you really try hard to dress it up but at the end of the day, wouldn't you rather look effortless than exhausted?

I go through different phases all the time when it comes to clothes. These days, I am shrugging off denim and wearing tailored pants with everything. I think they bring a slight cool dressy vibe to an otherwise causal tee. Wear them with sharp shoes or Chucks and they will still look polished.
This cute, stylish pair from Balenciaga will eradicate the need for an extra belt. The dark navy tone will go with most everything in your closet and you can dress it up or down; however you please.
This straight leg pair will never go out of style and in times like these, it's great to have assurance like that!

I've recently tailored made some tuxedo pants and I am loving the vibe they give out. They can be as versatile as you want them to be. Dress them up with a shirt and fancy shoes or down with Converse sneakers, a tee and lots of money-can't-buy attitude.
If you rather something designed and store bought, these 19cm (7.5'') pants from Dior Homme is as sharp as they get. Like most Dior Homme pants and denim, you can be assured a great fit and form.
With a banded waist and luxurious tuxedo stripes down the sides of the legs, this is one pair that will get you compliments. So get ready for them.

I don't even know where to begin describing this. What would you wear this with? It looks like someone on acid threw up on a pair of fecal-colored cords after drinking some mixed Kool-Aid, decided it looked wearable and continue barfing.
This pair of trousers was paired with dirty boots on the runway ala love product of Grunge and the 60's? Grunge was big in the 90s (I am a big fan!) but I don't remember the fashion choices being this unappetizing. This is neither rocker chic nor alternative. And for US$665, I don't think Kurt Cobain would not have approved. If you feel like reliving the past, you can find this at Aloha Rag.
These straight leg dress pants from Martin Margiela were made to fit like a glove; with their waist boning. Boning refers to a piece of material (flexible metal etc) inserted under the fabric to hold the clothing in place and to keep it from riding up. The complimentary V slit on the waist band adds a unique twist, along with its 3 pocket design. It's on sale at YOOX for US$190 in multiple sizes.
