I remember my first messenger bag - it was a nylon/cotton blend with multiple velcro straps and useful slots to store pens, cards and daily nick-knacks. I was 8 then and I thought it was so cool - so much so that I used it until my short 8 year old attention span found something cooler. But when that time came, that messenger bag was well-used and I had fond memories of pretending to be the neighborhood postman or milkman (but instead of bottles of milk, I delivered bottles of mineral water).

Now, I won't be storing any milk bottles is this sweet Lanvin messenger but I won't lose interest in this anytime soon too. This 100% calfskin leather piece is a looker and a wonderful everyday bag.

There are days where I don't need to carry a bag or don't want to lug a bag around. Those are the days where I wished I had something small and light that could contain a few essentials or notes when I have a meeting.

I've always wanted a tarantula for a pet ever since I was 8. I never gotten that wish fulfilled - they were just simply too difficult to find and I was too young to go venture into the black market alone to search for a spider.

That said, I like spiders - I think they are mysterious and quite cool. Needless to say, I am strangely drawn to this Lanvin tee and its spider motif.

This beautiful double-fabric scarf will ensure you stay warm in style. The 100% wool portion is a dark grey while the 100% leather portion is black. It's quite ingenious to think of combining two fabrics for greater insulation.

Lucas Ossendrijver of Lanvin's menswear did a feature on Details on his 10 Rules of Style. Lanvin is one of the houses that gets me excited season after season. I am looking forward to checking out Lanvin's Fall 08 collection when I am in Paris come September.

I agree! So enough of the OTT (Over-The-Top) walking advertisements. Just because your favorite label churned it out and stamped its seal of approval all over, doesn't mean you should buy it.
