I do wish it was easier to buy jeans but my frame does not make it off-the-rack friendly. But if you don't have my problem, take a look at this pair.
I am loving the deep shade of Indigo, this would serve you well for work or play. Dressed up or down. The slim fitting cut will not work for every body type but for those looking for a pair that fits narrower, this is one to check out.
I am loving the clean lines and the simple yet effective white contrast on the back pocket. No unnecessary logos, plaques, brand stamps. Just a visible white line of clean that I really appreciate.
The darting through the inner thigh ensures this fits well throughout the leg while the extra fabric at the front pockets make it easier and more convenient to reach your belongings. This attention to detail and the needs of everyday consumers is something I think all designers should follow.
Made from raw Selvage Denim, this not only looks good but is also hardy. Get this for US$240 at Blackbird.
When I was 6, I had a clown stuff toy and it had bright orange hair and wore colored polka-dot pants. I don't really remember who gave it to me but I remember falling from my 2 story bunk bed and landing into a laundry basket full of hangers once and the first thing I saw when I landed was this clown stuff toy smiling at me. I threw it away there and then. It was disturbing at that time.
Just like how this pair of jeans is seriously disturbing me and I am not 6 anymore. These look like the pair that my stuff toy was wearing which may look fine on a clown and if you're in a costume but ridiculous if you're going out for afternoon tea.
I don't know just what one would wear this with. It's in a skinny cut - the kind of cut that is favored by punks and hipsters and this in no way is punk or cool. All is does is just scream for unwanted attention and I guess that is what clowns do.
But to actually pay money for something like this is a whole other story. Find this for US$70 at Tobi.
Back in the 90s when I was growing up, ripped jeans were all the rage. I watched as my sisters tried to poke holes and tear their jeans purposely with the full intention of having a tear that looks genuinely authentic. I thought being able to pull off such a look meant you were cooler than the rest and I wished then, that I would grow up quicker so I could hopefully be half as cool.
Now that I am grown up and a lot wiser, I do not want to grow older so quickly and neither do I think extremely ripped jeans of yesteryears are cool anymore. That said, I do love vintage looks and I think certain faded and distressed jeans can look quite casual chic.
I am drawn to this pair from 7 For All Mankind. I think it's the classic straight leg design with the right amount of distressing that is giving me desire bumps. I love the casual, laid back vibe radiating from this pair.
The ripped pockets and front legs give this a nonchalant yet gathered feel that would be perfect in weekends and lazy days. They will look good with tees and casual shirts alike, with flip flops and sneakers.
This definitely looks like a pair I can grow and live in. Now if only they had my size! Get this for US$220 at Tobi.

I remember my first pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans was of the Flynt variety. I really liked and I still do the inverted 7s on the back pockets. I thought they looked fresh and different with just the right amount of detail without looking ostentatious. I didn't think much about them until I saw this pair the other day. I am really liking this shade of blue and the relaxed vibe from this pair of jeans. It's cut a little looser so it's a fresh change from all the skinny and tapered jeans.
The straight leg offers versatility and you can easily wear this in the day and then head to a house party with this at night. The clean lines of this pair will complement a fitted tee shirt and sneakers. Plus, one other great thing about this pair - it works for most body types so say if you're of a slimmer build, just get a size down and work from there.

I am currently in the midst of a denim crisis; I have outgrown all but 2 of my jeans. Outgrown in the sense that I have been benefiting from my work-outs and I just can't wear most of them anymore without looking constricted. I found new owners for them (which I felt very good about - because they were all in pristine condition and new) which means I am in the market for new ones.
I thought I had gotten past my need to buy new jeans for a while so I've had to re-evaluate and it does take time to find ones that fit perfectly. This is one pair I want to get my hands on.
I am loving the black wash of these skinny jeans and their ultra-low rise; perfect for smaller build individuals myself. This sleek pair will take you through causal work days, dinner dates and after parties. This resin-coated pair will serve you well; whether you're traveling or running errands. The black shade is classic and so universal.
What I am digging most is the cool belt tab at the sides of the back pockets. They instantly add a hit of detail that just brings this pair to the next style level. The extra trim on top of the pockets serve to give an illusion of a double pocket; illuminating the attention to the very kind of detail that I would want in a pair of jeans.

I am digging this shade of grey on this pair of slightly tapered Dior Homme jeans. With no distressing or fading, this will looking amazing with boots or a pair of pointed lace-ups. Simple, clean and with Dior Homme's signature scar stitching on the back pocket, I am adding this to my want list for my trip to Paris in September. 5-pocket cut and polished silver metal hardware make up the rest of this sleek cotton blend 7" (17.5 cm) leg hem pair.
