I had some black shorts tailored made last year and I take them everywhere. They are essential, universal and so hardy. A black tone is fantastic for clumsy individuals such as myself; you can spill and you and drip and it'll all be fine.
This pair from Acne fits the description and will serve you well this Summer. The black will go with everything; shirts, tees, tank tops, tattoos. The lone pocket on the back adds to the clean lines of this pair of shorts. I like how it deferred from the norm which resulted in only 1 pocket. I think it gives a detailed touch.
If this is too long for your preference, simply roll it up for some Summer nonchalance or have the length taken in some more for an edgier, current vibe,

I've been pretty stressed these past weeks and whenever I am stressed, my skin reacts in its own idiosyncratic way. It throws a tantrum by means of multiple zits, extreme tightness and general dullness. It is at these times that I walk around looking like I abuse my skin which is really far from the truth.
I had 4 huge zits that erupted all together last week and I am still trying to deal with the last stubborn one. Zits I can handle, but it is the post-inflammatory marks that they leave behind that annoys me. They take forever to fade and patience is not one of my virtues.
So when I first discovered that Kiehl's had a zit treatment cream that not only works to banish zits but also clear up post-acne marks, I was ready to give it a shot. I have gone through 2 tubes of this and I have to say that although there are definitely stronger zit creams out there in the market, this is one that I would go back to the store for.
With Dioic, Salicylic (1.5%) and Lipo Hydroxy Acids that work together to encourage micro-exfoliation and kill zit-causing bacteria. I used this 3 times a day and my zits went away in a couple of days. What I was most pleased about was how this faded the post-inflammatory marks - both new and old.
The old marks started fading quicker and the new marks appeared lighter after a week of use. The compact size makes this a good traveling companion for touch-ups throughout the day.

I never thought much about the other less ubiquitous denim clothing articles; like jackets and hats and shirts. That said, wearing a head to toe denim look is something that should be taboo. Why play favorites and only wear one fabric?
It was perhaps with Lanvin's collaboration with Acne Jeans that showcased how denim can also exist in the form of tees and dresses. And it wasn't until that I saw this shirt that I realized that maybe after all, I can pull off a denim shirt.
I am liking the stiff white collar that adds a striking yet simple contrast to this wonderful piece. It gives a cool, street vibe to this denim shirt. What I dig the most is the unexpected lone button at the end of the button tab. What a way to play with detail.
This would be great tucked out so I would take this to my alteration guy and have him take it in so that it looks just perfectly fitted and shorted for wearing untucked. This will look dandy with pants, chinos and even jeans - I would wear this with a black pair. The contrast in denim colors will offset any potential faux pas.

Some are large and others are smaller, but they are all inconvenient. And I find that the best way to deal with these annoyance is to cover them with zit cream multiple times a day. So I have zit creams in all my bags, most everywhere in the house. It's just so much more convenient this way.
I picked this up at the store when I was buying a bunch of stuff, particularly because I was curious about its claim to reduce the size of zits in 4 hours. I had a couple of zits the next day and it was time to put this to the test.
I won't say that the zits dramatically reduce in size but they did become smaller in hours. The bigger more stubborn zits took longer but eventually after several treatments, they shrank too. I don't experience redness so I can't say much about that.
What I can say is that unlike some of the other spot treatments I have used before, this doesn't dry your skin out excessively. I have really oily skin so I can get away with multiple applications throughout the day but those of you who have drier skins, dab this twice a day and see how your skin reacts.
With 10% Benzoyl Hydroxide, this full strength zit treatment cream gets the work done and the best thing about it? Its price point - a worth-well buy.

Zits always seem to have the worst sense of time - they pop up when you least expect them to; just when you think you won't have to deal with them for a while, one appears, threatening to have a field day.
That was what happened to me last week and there was no better time to give this spot treatment a shot; I bought this thinking I might need it someday when I was stocking up on products and it turns out that I really did need it.
This spot treatment has a drier texture that I was expecting but it only takes a few seconds of massaging it into the zit for it to be absorbed into the problem area. I reapplied this twice a day and after 2 days, my zit disappeared. I was quite pleased.
With 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, this is not something you apply all over your face as it can be quite drying if you have normal/sensitive skin. But I didn't have a problem with dryness mainly because of the extreme oiliness of my skin.
But whatever it is, this is one spot treatment that I will be purchasing again; it works and its small compact size makes it easy for traveling or for throwing into your day bag.

Malin+Goetz is a NYC based apothecary that uses hydration and absorption science to keep skin in tip-top condition. This acne treatment contains salicylic acid with 10% active sulfur to effectively dry and combat acne pimples. With Camphor to battle impurities and zinc oxide to prevent scarring and skin damage.
As harsh as that might all sound, this treatment is gentle enough for sensitive skin. I don't experience peeling or excessive drying usually associated with acne products. I was actually pretty surprised by its gentleness. I have thick oily skin that still gets dried out by acne products so if you have the same skin type, you'll appreciate this. So get zapping! I find myself with the occasional zit and they pop up no matter how clean my face is. Since I sleep with the air-conditioner most everyday, I've been looking for a product that would keep the zits at bay and not add to the dryness of my skin at night. I found this 6 months ago and it's great because it's got both AHA and BHA which gently exfoliate the skin to lessen the marks left behind by those zits. It also has an extract of Cucurbita Pepo and Zinc Gluconate which help minimise sebum production while purifying the skin when used during the day. Along with Salicylic acid and Avene spring water, this handy moisturizer keeps the zits at bay when you sleep while soothing and softening your skin. Pretty handy to have around. Get it at a local pharmacy like Guardian or at Drugstore.com for US$18.

We've all had breakouts and suffered from acne at one stage of our lives. I had my share of teenage hormonal acne. I went to bed one night with clear skin and when I woke the next day, my whole face was breaking out. Needless to say, I have tried a lot of products. Though my acne phase has long gone, I still use acne products to keep zits at bay.
I discovered AcneFree 3 step system at Costco about 1 year or so ago when I was at Costco. I decided to give it a shot and let me just say, it really works. I love it so much that I bought a few boxes back to Singapore and passed them around. Needless to say, it was a hit.
I love the time release formula of the repairing lotion; it provides oil control and works 24/7 to keep pores clean and zit free. So you can have a 8am-10pm day and it'll still be working to prevent acne when you get home. You can use this on your body, your chest or your back too!
The favorite product hands down, is the zit cream. This acne and blackhead terminator contains a combination of Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide and it's got to be one of the best zit gels I have ever used. Apply this gel on areas where you're breaking out or where you're most prone to blackheads and watch zits disappear! It does peel so I would suggest using this at night before bed or only on small spots in the day. I've had times when I applied this during the day and left the house only to find people's puzzled faces staring at me as they pass me by. Turns out, the gel started peeling on the places of application and I had flakes on my whole face as a result. They are not easy to remove unless you wash your face which would be a problem if you're in the middle of the work day or rushing to an appointment.
The AcneFree system sold at Costco comes with a 0.75oz/21g complimentary tub of the acne and blackhead terminator so if you live close to a Costco, drop by and pick a set up.
