I am not a big fan of all-over prints. I don’t have a particular reason why except maybe that I prefer a clean, minimalist look to a loud, printed look. But that said, I am definitely buying some prints this season – starting with the awesome Burberry Prorsum Ikat Shirt.
When I caught sight of this shirt from Balenciaga, I paused for a moment because I wasn’t sure what I felt and had to take a closer look but as soon as I did, I knew I had to write about it. The black and white all-over print of the Chevron arrow will grow on you and though my first initial reaction to this was that it was too loud. But then I realized that little details like the black buttons help to tone down the print and the fact that this will look great with simple classic pieces like light chinos and tailored pants means it really boils down to what one chooses to rock this with.
