One of the reasons why I love Alexander McQueen’s skull tees is because of the vivacity of the skulls. They seem to pop-out and come semi alive on the tee and are often rather spectacular. Hence, I guess I was a little disappointed when I saw this new version of the beloved skull tee.
I like the dark forest green shade of the tee. It is a great alternative to black and is not a color you find often. It goes splendidly with the theme of the tee – a forest/cemetery-inspired theme. You have a raven (?) on top of a skull and leaves spewing out of the skull. Like you might find in an abandoned cemetery. However, there’s nothing life-like about this print. It’s rather one-dimensional and I can’t help but wish there was more oomph. Shame.
